望月大士がプロの部優勝！

3月26日（日）に東京ポートボウルで開催されました承認大会・第12回花きゃべつ杯にて、望月大士がプロの部制覇を果たしました。

プロは5G、アマチュアは4Gのトータルスコアで競われ、居並ぶ若手強力プロを望月が1151ピンで抑えて優勝。アマチュアの部では須山裕一郎選手が優勝されました。

England’s Dom Barrett Ends Three-Year Title Slump, Wins Brunswick Euro Challenge for Fifth PBA Title

England’s Dom Barrett ended a three-year PBA Tour title drought Sunday when he defeated Thailand’s Jojoe Yannaphon, 237-221, to win the Brunswick Euro Challenge at Dream-Bowl Palace.

He got a break in the tightly-contested title match when Yannaphon left the 8-10 split in his 10th frame and opened.

Barrett was the top qualifier for the three-player stepladder finals and ended a series of championship round close calls, including third-place finishes earlier in the year in the FireLake Tournament of Champions and the PBA Xtra Frame Reality Check Classic, and in the PBA World Championship in December in Reno.

Yannaphon, who had qualified second for the finals, defeated England’s Stuart Williams in the opening stepladder match with a strike in a one-ball roll-off after throwing three strikes in his 10th frame to tie Williams at 204-204. Williams, after leaving a solid 10 pin on his second shot in the 10th frame, left another 10 pin in the roll-off.

山本　勲が優勝！

3月19日（日）に品川プリンスホテルボウリングセンターにて承認大会・第17回ABS300クラブプロアマトーナメントが開催され、山本勲が優勝致しました。

予選8G、準決勝4Gで上位4名を選出し、決勝ステップラダーが行われましたが、その予選後半4Gで山本は驚異のAVG272.5を打ち出すと、準決勝でも安定した強さを見せて決勝へ進出。

優勝決定戦にて渡辺けあきと対戦して勝利し、大会5度目の優勝を果たしました。

Josh Blanchard Wins Xtra Frame Reality Check Classic for Third Career PBA Tour Title

Josh Blanchard of Mesa, Ariz., breezed through all three of his stepladder matches to win the PBA Xtra Frame Reality Check Classic Sunday at Sawgrass Lanes for his third career PBA Tour title.

Streamed live on PBA’s online bowling channel Xtra Frame, Blanchard beat former McKendree University collegiate star and finals top seed AJ Johnson of Oswego, Ill., 232-204, in the title match for his first title of the season and first in two years. For Johnson, it was his third career runner-up finish.

“It feels unbelievable,” said Blanchard, who won his last title in the 2015 PBA Xtra Frame Maine Shootout. “Sometimes you doubt yourself but I have a lot of support from my family, friends and fans so I think it was just a matter of time before I could bring home another win.”

By winning, Blanchard also takes the early lead in the Storm Cup points race which will award $50,000 in bonus prize money at the end of the season. All eight Storm Cup events are streamed live on Xtra Frame.

Needing a strike on the first ball of the 10th frame to win the semifinal match, Blanchard struck out to beat four-time Tour winner Dom Barrett of England, 279-258, to advance to the title match.

In the opening match, Blanchard, who was the No. 3 seed, beat Shawn Maldonado of Houston, who was trying for his first Tour win, 236-175.

Upcoming Storm Cup Xtra Frame events this season will include stops in North Carolina, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia and Delaware before its final event in Coldwater, Ohio, in late August. The next stop for the Xtra Frame Storm Cup series will be the Xtra Frame Wilmington Open in Wilmington, N.C., May 26-29.

Jeff Piroozshad Leads Top 62 Qualifiers into Sunday’s PBA’s Xtra Frame Reality Check Classic Final Rounds

Part-time Professional Bowlers Association competitor Jeff Piroozshad of Coral Springs, Fla., averaged 238.8 for eight games Saturday to lead the 62 top qualifiers who advanced to Sunday’s final rounds of the PBA Xtra Frame Reality Check Classic at Sawgrass Lanes. AJ Johnson of Oswego, Ill., (shown in feature photo) was in second place, three pins behind.

The tournament, which will award a PBA Tour title along with a $10,000 first prize, is the first in a series of eight PBA Xtra Frame Tour events that will award $50,000 in Storm Cup bonus prize money at the end of the season. Piroozshad, who has been a PBA member on-and-off for 17 years, rolled games of 253, 231, 268, 244, 223, 191, 224 and 275 for a 1,911 pinfall total and overtook Johnson with his big closing game. Piroozshad, 42, has won one regional title in 43 PBA Regional and 10 PBA Tour tournament appearances.

Johnson, a 24-year-old former McKendree University collegiate star, rolled games of 206, 257, 278, 260, 257, 211, 201 and 238 to finish qualifying with 1,908 total pins. Johnson, a third-year PBA member, has two second place finishes during his brief career, but has yet to win his first PBA Tour title.

The Reality Check Classic was originally scheduled for last October, but was postponed due to the arrival of Hurricane Matthew. In its new place on the PBA schedule, the tournament drew a field of 186 PBA members and top amateur bowlers. The top one-third of the field – 62 players – advanced to Sunday’s four-game cashers round at 8:30 a.m. The top 16 after 12 games advance to the three-game Round of 16 at 11:30 a.m.; the top 8 after 15 games advance to the two-game Round of 8 at 1:30 p.m., and the top four after 17 total games advance to the stepladder finals at 3 p.m. All times are Eastern.

藤井信人、涙の3勝目を挙げる！

選抜大会から数えてパーフェクト9つ、7-10スプリットメイドも3つ達成されるなど、熾烈な打ち合いとなった関西オープン。そのハイスコア合戦もさることながら、若い世代の著しい成長が顕著な大会となりました。

予選前半の出遅れを山本勲や森本浩史、菅原晃一、山下昌吾ら多くの若手が後半6Gで大きく取り返し、準決勝では力尽きたもののナイスファイトを見せてくれました。

決勝ラウンドロビンへは、トップ争いを繰り広げた田坂大輔・谷合貴志・宮田俊輔に、予選後半から追い上げた川添奨太と髙橋俊彦、そして日置秀一・藤井信人・串田昭・吉田文啓・水谷孝敏らが続きます。

そんな若手が出揃うなか、シニア代表として気を吐いたのが田形研吾と酒井武雄。準決勝で惜しくも順位を落とした須田毅、人見啓二朗の代わりのように圏外が飛び込んできました。

久々の12名による決勝ラウンドロビンは、死力を尽くしたと呼ぶに相応しい戦いでした。

序盤でトップに登り詰めた宮田が3G目から転落していく一方、入れ替わりに髙橋が首位に立ち、中盤までは首位を守りましたが、髙橋もまた8G目で藤井に突き落とされます。2位以下も順位の変動は目まぐるしく、一時は7位まで落とした谷合と田坂が終盤にビッグゲームを連発して席を確保。残り1席を巡る日置と串田の戦いはポジションマッチまでもつれ込みましたが、日置が粘り強さを見せてファイナルステージへの切符をもぎ取りました。

藤井、谷合、田坂、日置ら4名の若武者による決勝ステップラダーは、日置VS田坂の4位決定戦からスタート。

変化が進み、遅くなったレーンに苦戦して田坂がストライクを繋げられず、中盤で手痛いオープンフレームを出してしまいます。

ターキーで滑り出した日置もそこから我慢のボウリングに一転。何とかノーミスでしのぎ、9フレーム目からオールウェーで追いかけてくる田坂を下しました。

苦しみながらも4位決定戦でレーンを掴んだ日置は、続く谷合との3位決定戦は1フレーム目から5連続に成功。3フレーム目でTV収録中の7-10スプリットメイドという非常に珍しい記録達成となった谷合は、その後もノーミスを守るもののダブル以上にストライクを繋げられず、開幕戦からの連勝は阻まれてしまいました。

昨年末の全日本で惜敗を喫した日置にとってリベンジマッチとも言うべき優勝決定戦は、しかし藤井にとっても決意の一戦でした。

3年前の男子新人戦で2勝目を挙げて以来、幾たびもファイナルステージに上がりながら3勝目を逃してきた藤井。そんな自分を変えようと、今季からパーソナルトレーナーを招いてメンタル・フィジカルともにトレーニングに勤しんだと言い、投球スタイルにも変化が見えました。

ともに口惜しい思いをバネに自分を鍛えてきた日置と藤井。両名ともに負けられない最後の戦いは、藤井がダブルで滑り出し、ワンマークリードを取ります。

日置はここで右レーンに捕まってしまい、前半はダッチマン状態に。その隙に藤井が中盤から4連続ストライクを決めてリードを広げます。

しかし日置も黙って引き下がるわけにはいきません。7フレーム目からストライクを繋ぎ、徐々に藤井との差を詰めます。

何とか引き離したい藤井でしたが、9フレーム目で10番ピンがタップ。続く10フレーム1投目も思わず投球に力が入ってストライクが決まらず、235ピンと今一つスコアを伸ばせ

対する日置は10フレーム1投目まで4連続ストライクに成功。勝負どころの8・9フレームをストライクで繋いだのは大きく、2投目もストライクなら大逆転となるところまで藤井を追い詰めましたが、無情にも10番ピンがタップ。その瞬間、藤井の優勝が確定。

昨年結婚した新妻・浅田　梨奈の目の前で、とは行きませんでしたが、公私ともに充実し成長した証としての3年ぶりの優勝に、嬉し涙を見せてくれました。
